KARLOVA is a compact apartment building specially designed for students and young families. This 8-apartment building provides two different types of housing - 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom apartments.
The common hallway has extra space under the stairs for bikes. There are floor-to-ceiling windows, so most of the daylight can be used to enlighten the hallway without any lamps.
1-bedroom apartments are suitable for students or couples who don’t need an extra bedroom yet. They can house a friend or two on the couch. The kitchen and living room have an open plan, but they are separated by a small niche to divide the area of the two rooms better. The bathroom fits all necessities and there is room for a big full-size wardrobe in the hallway. Floor-to-ceiling windows have French balconies.
2-bedroom apartments have a joint kitchen and living room, two bedrooms, a large bathroom, and a large terrace or balcony with storage (depending on the floor). There is a possibility to integrate sauna or storage inside the 2-bedroom apartment. External storages can be used for grills, balcony furniture, etc. Terraces/balconies are situated next to the living room/kitchen. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room can be opened fully to create that extra open space when having a party.
